ChoreHero Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ChoreHero mobile application and companion HouseHold app (the “Service”), operated by Rimshot Digital LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ChoreHero helps families manage chores, allowances, rewards, schedules, household communication, and — when parents choose to enable them — location-safety and fitness features. The companion HouseHold app helps co-residents split bills, share a calendar, and communicate.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) and legally able to enter contracts to create a household account.
• A parent or legal guardian creates the household and is responsible for all child accounts and the information provided about a child.
• Children access the Service only under a parent’s supervision and only after the parent has set up the child’s profile.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.

4. Verifiable Parental Consent (COPPA)

Because ChoreHero is directed to children of all ages, including children under 13, we collect and process a child’s personal information only with verifiable parental consent. By creating a household account and adding a child, you represent that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian and that you consent to our collection and use of your child’s personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Sensitive features (location/GPS, fitness, and photo collection) each require a separate, express in-app authorization. You may withdraw consent at any time using in-app parental controls or by emailing chorehero.contact@gmail.com.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

• The Service is offered with a free trial, then a monthly or annual subscription, as shown in the app and at sign-up. Pricing and trial length are disclosed before you subscribe.
• Paid subscriptions automatically renew until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in the app’s Subscription settings; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current paid period.
• We may change pricing on reasonable notice; price changes apply only on renewal after notice.
• Taxes are applied where required.

6. Allowances, Earnings & Money

ChoreHero helps you track chore completion and record allowances and earnings as a ledger between a parent and a child. We do not hold, custody, custody, or transfer real money on behalf of children, and the app is not a bank, money transmitter, or financial institution. The “household purse,” “slush fund,” and similar features are accounting records maintained by the parent. Actual delivery of money or credits to a child (cash, gaming-credit top-ups, savings deposits, etc.) occurs outside the app and is the parent’s responsibility. Withdrawals requested from the household purse to a linked bank account are fulfilled manually and subject to processing fees and availability.

7. Location, Fitness & Device Features

Location tracking, geofences, fitness-data syncing, and device alerts are optional safety and wellness features that a parent must expressly enable. By enabling them you authorize our collection and use of that data for the features described. You are responsible for ensuring you have legal authority to track the device and for complying with applicable laws, and for obtaining any consents required from other adults (for example, a second parent or bonus adult) before granting them access to a child’s location or fitness data. You can disable these features at any time.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
• Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to a child.
• Harass, threaten, or harm any person, including through messaging features.
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
• Attempt to access data you are not authorized to access, or reverse-engineer / disrupt the Service.

9. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, messages, schedule entries). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to provide the Service within your household. We own the Service, our branding, and our software.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third parties (for example, fitness apps, gaming platforms, email, and AI providers). These third parties have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their practices, and your use of them is subject to their terms.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any feature such as location or fitness data will be accurate or timely. Safety and location features are tools to assist a parent; they are not a substitute for parental supervision.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rimshot Digital LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, earnings, or allowances recorded in the app, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or, if you paid nothing, fifty U.S. dollars).

13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
• Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered in Clark County, Nevada, except that you may bring an individual action in small-claims court in Clark County, Nevada for matters within its jurisdiction.
• You and Rimshot Digital LLC each waive any right to bring a claim as a class action or to participate in a class action.
• Before arbitration, you agree to first contact us at chorehero.contact@gmail.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

14. Termination

You may delete your household account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we decide to discontinue or modify the Service. Upon termination, recorded allowances and earnings are not refunded or paid out by us; please settle any outstanding balances with your household before deleting your account.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app and/or by email where possible. Your continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
